You’ve made it through your first year of Jiu Jitsu.
You’ve learned a lot, you feel confident but there’s still so much more to learn.
This is a good place to be.
You are growing.
You can roll with a lot of different people and feel confident yet you understand you can learn so much from so many people.
Your’e not totally set in your ways. You have an open-mind about different techniques. You are aware of your strengths and weaknesses.
And you are aware of what type of game is beginning to work for you.
You have friends at your school. And you are a part of a community.
It’s a good place to be.
Now that you’ve gotten here don’t give up. It may look like a long road to black belt but that’s not why you are here. In time it may come but in the present you are here for the art and all the things that it brings you. Fitness, community, confidence and self-discipline.
It’s a way of life.
What does being a blue belt mean to you?
