Kamaru Usman Earns Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt

Kamaru Usman earns black belt

New UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman was recently promoted to black belt in brazilian Jiu Jitsu after his win against long-time champion Tyron Woodley.

Usman said in his Instagram post the following:

“I’m more than humbled and prepared to take on another challenge. Last night my Sensei @jorgesantiagojjpushed the bar even higher by given me my BJJ black belt. I’m beyond excited and can’t wait to be recovered and back on the mats”

Usman demonstrated great control in many positions and was complimented by Rener and Ryron Gracie for his mount control in this video.

It’s safe to say he earned it. Congrats!
