You made it back to Jiu Jitsu class.

You are part of a small percentage who made it. Obviously more people will return due to the pandemic if they even stopped at all.

This article is for anyone making a return.That could also mean from injury, or life took a turn where you could not get in.

Here are 3 tips for making your way back:

1. Don’ overdo it.

Seems obvious but read on. A common occurrence especially easily seen with beginners, is that they get the Jiu Jitsu bug and come all the time. Then as quickly as that momentum began they fall off, sometimes for good.

Now that’s not as likely top happen to you if you a Jiu Jitsu veteran simply because you understand the ebb and flow of Jiu Jitsu consistency and what it entails at a deeper level.

Consistency is key but if coming back fro,m a layoff try it may be a good idea for some to keep it conservative when coming back.

For example, if you have not been to the academy in months and all of a sudden you make a goal that you will come to the academy 5 days per week, it may be a dramatic change to your lifestyle that may prove to be ovewhleming
